The Idea Wall is a unique and entertaining way to engage your employees, customers or community and solicit ideas, comments or suggestions at meetings or events. Idea days, product development, AGM's, community promotion/development days, business improvement ideas. 1 day, multi day, everyday are all possible depending on budget and logistics.

The brainchild of Brendan O'Keefe, the Idea Wall is the result of a personal brainstorm late 2008. After developing both his SMS and online idea management applications, Brendan was looking for the final service to complete his brainstorming offerings and The Idea Wall was born. Brendan posed a challenge to himself, "how can I bring the traditional Post-It® brainstorming session out of the office and directly in front of the consumer?". The slogan 'Think It - Stick It - Choose It - Do It', which simply describes the innovation cycle came to Brendan shortly after.

The experience is the key

What makes The Idea Wall unique is the participatory experience generated by the Brainstorm Facilitators on hand during the event.
Mini workshops, creative prompts, tips and props are all used by the facilitators to challenge and inspire people to generate a large number of ideas in a short period of time. People have fun, they feel their opinions and ideas are valued, and sense they can make a difference by being constructive contributors.

The Idea Evangelists
We can also supply a small team of trained idea evangelists who can roam the event and act as idea catalysts by engaging in quick and informal one on one or group brainstorms.

Promotional stickers or flyers can direct people to other idea capturing and management tools such as The Id8 Online Toolbox for extended campaign and enhanced experience or to push people to your unique marketing message.

Idea Management Tools
We can also capture ideas during the meeting or event via our SMS Idea Box software allowing those people who cannot participate at the wall to generate and send in ideas right from their phone. Facilitators can also write some of these ideas and stick them on the wall.
Sticky note pads can be branded with your marketing message or in some situations sponsorship via 3M or other manufacturers may be possible.

Ideas can appear at the strangest times. We know this to be true and we also know the reality is most of us DO NOT carry a pen and small pad to document your ideas as the appear. We got to thinking as we do and shortly after appeared our solution.

How it works

  • A company posts the SMS idea box number and keyword either internally or publicly
  • Users text a keyword followed by their idea or suggestion
  • They post ideas, suggestions and comments
  • Response messages can be delivered to stimulate further ideas using creativity prompts.

Vote

  • A company posts the top ideas to evaluate (vote on) and the SMS idea box number and keyword either internally or publicly
  • Users text a keyword followed their vote
  • Ideas are exported in a standard data format.

Data Presentation
After the event, all ideas are either presented as raw data or collated and presented to your organization in several formats for an extra fee.
